Letting Go

DSC07422

How do you stop loving one

You’ve loved so very long?

And how do you let go someone

Who’s said “I love you”, moving on?

For another in secret, away from the world

Calls them to places you cannot go

How do you rise from sorrow deep

When “I love you” s still hang in the air?

As shadows descend

Light makes them flee

Thru prayers, a greater love to be

For we never stop loving because we’re free

God’s greatest of gifts, a mystery.

How do you let go someone

When death’s door opens wide?

And times once shared become phantoms of dreams

Suddenly no longer there?

And how do you let go someone

With heart-strings hanging on?

Spoken words a treasure

No one can take beyond

How do you rise from sorrow deep

When “I love you” s still hang in the air?

As shadows descend

Light makes them flee

Thru prayers, a greater love to be

For we never stop loving because we’re free

God’s greatest of gifts, a mystery.

Thanks Marcy. Please keep in prayer an alternative thought/plan about the farm I still own in Northeastern KY….maybe it’s meant to be an artist/writer’s retreat spot….
